Carnival Paradise 5 day cruise is a great time. This is the third time we have been on the Carnival Paradise, and have had three terrific times. The ship is beginning to show its age, for example there is rust around some of the windows, and some of the common areas appear to be a bit tired. However, the ship is extremely clean and a very nice size.

We were in U228, which is an aft ocean view. It is terrific. Rooms above and below, and being at the end of the ship, made this room extremely quiet. The windows has a nice deck about 3 feet wide, which is a nice storage place. (fins, glasses, and the like). The Paradise is old enough that the engineers haven't shrunk the stateroom, so there was plenty of room to move around. In addition, for a 5 day cruise, we did not even use all the drawers. It has a full size shower, making it much nicer than some of the newer ships.

The ship has no specialty restaurants, so we ate breakfasts and lunches in the Lido Deck Marketplace, and dinners in the Main Dining Room. All were very good. Is this 5 star dining, no. However, it is better than we get at home, remember folks we are on vacation!

Nice cabin, in the aft. Very quiet with room above and below. Plenty of storage for a 5 day cruise.
