We sailed on the Carnival Legend out of NY going to Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, & Tortola on 6/24/04.

Firstly, embarkation went well. We arrived at the pier at about 11:30 a.m. and were on the ship by about 12:30. To our surprise, our Oceanview Guarantee had been upgraded to a balcony room!! We were happy to see that; also, the cabin was pretty spacious compared to the inside cabin my boyfriend and I had a couple of years ago on Royal Caribbean!!

This trip we were sailing with our kids - his 16 yr. old son, and my 14 yr. old daughter. As soon as we finished checking out our rooms, we proceeded to the buffet to get some lunch. There were many options to choose from every day for lunch. You could have "dinner type" food, pizza, hamburgers/hotdogs from the grill, various salads, or cold/hot sandwiches. A lot to choose from, and many times we indulged in more than one choice!! The kids particularly enjoyed the 24 hours pizza, which by the way was very tasty!! It was always hot and fresh, and you seldom had to wait more than a few minutes. The buffet lines were sometimes long, but not unbearably so. Like I said, there were so many choices that if you didn't feel like waiting, you could always find a shorter line and eat something else!!
