We chose Grand European as our first river boat cruise because we wanted to experience the Danube and Rhine rivers and their ports of call. The Gefjon ship's cabins, dining, and service was fabulous! Our room steward, Nichola, kept our cabin spotless! Chef Antonio's meals were AWESOME! Loved the variety of dishes which included local cuisine! David, Brian and Elmer, our dining servers, were MAGNIFICENT! They were very attentive to our every need, friendly and professional! Loved, loved the ports and shore excursions! All of our local tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly! Mika, our program director, was very informative and helpful. Loved using the quiet boxes on our excursions so we wouldn't miss what the guide was saying! Our concierge, Eddy, was fantastic! He was able to get us Anne Frank Huis tickets! Embarkation and disembarkation were very smooth! No problems whatsoever! One of the best features of the cruise was that it felt intimate with only 160 passengers versus 5,000 on an ocean cruise! Viking Cruise line ROCKS! We will definitely go on another Viking Cruise!!!

Loved the cabin we were in especially the bathroom! The cabin provided more than enough storage and the bed was excellent!
