we flew non-stop to Miami, that was great, we got to the pier around 10;30 am, check in was a breeze no lines at all, had to wait until 11;30 to get on the ship but the cabins would not be ready until 1;30, and they do mean 1;30 not 1;29, we went to the Lido deck and ate some lunch.the ship was clean with an American theme, overall the crew was friendly but no one went out of their way to be more friendly, pass cruises our cabin crew and dining crew knew and called us by name, it never happened on Valor, not even once.I had to leave notes for the cabin crew to leave me towels, the dining room was a dis-appointed for our friends that traveled Royal with us twice before, you could not order any special items, nothing only what was on the menu, I thought that was rather silly, like an extra plate of veggies, nope only got the veggie of the day.lines to get back on the ship from ports were much to long, but went fairly quick.tendering in Belize is not good, took about an hour to get ashore, beware if you book a private tour here.the smoke was the worst, you could smoke almost everywhere, and could smell it everywhere, we never went to any of the clubs for dancing for this very reason, the cruise director, Big Tex was the invisable man, we never saw him one time, out and about with the guest.overall since it was the cheapest cruise it was nice, but we will go back to Royal at least for a couple more years, and try Carnival again in the future.
