Some friends asked if we would join them on this cruise and we had been wanting to try one. The cruise was a lot more relaxed than being on a large ship. It was nice being just steps away from the lounge and dining areas rather than traversing a lengthy ship. The service and staff was exceptional. The food was good, the free wine and beer with dinner was great, and the entertainment was adequate (usually a singer/pianist in the lounge). The cabin and bath were spacious enough. The cruise director (?) was hilarious and very informative regarding the history of the ports we were to visit. The only disappointment was missing an entire port due to a weather-related issue (not being able to get under a bridge, thus losing a day's itinerary. Although I did learn to make towel animals that day!) It would have been nice to receive some kind of recompense.
The cabin was unexpectedly spacious with a long counter, and ample closet and drawer space. The shower in the bath area was spacious as well. (My husband is 6'4" and he was comfortable in it.)
