Service and accommodations were excellent! We stayed an extra couple of days in Venice before the cruise. Cabin was luxurious. Food was very good from specialty restaurants to general dining. We did not take full advantage of entertainment and on board activities. The shore excursions were well thought out and varied quite a bit in choices. Did not have any issue being locked out of selections. Smoothest disembark I've encountered.

Would we go again? - We are in 2018 to Norway, on the same ship!

This cruise was a celebration for being recently retired. Viking did not disappoint in making it special for us. Seeing the Mediterranean and ports in Italy, France was definitely a bucket list item. The only disappointment for the whole cruise was not having enough time in Barcelona, the final destination. We chose to add extra days in Venice at the start instead. To be honest, by the end of the trip we were ready to return home.

Cabin Review

Cabin Explorer Suite

Exceptional amount of room; beautiful veranda. Bedroom and bath were great. Best of all was the cabin steward who took care of us. He went over and above my expectations.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Needed a day to rest and we had spent 5 days in Rome on our own prior to the cruise.

Toulon

I thought there were excursions available here
