A friend and I did the Rhine Getaway Tour from Basel, Switzerland to Amsterdam, Netherlands, with stops in Strasbourg, France and a number of German ports. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout the entire trip. We received all required documents a few weeks before leaving, we had no problems at all with embarking or disembarking. The ship was extremely clean, nicely decorated and and in excellent condition. Every time we stopped at a port there were 2 staff members going round the ship in a little open boat, scrubbing the outside of the ship! The excursions were very informative, well organised - just overall great experiences. Dining was excellent, good food, plenty of options, no huge buffets with hundreds of people sneezing in them! A little noisy in the dining room......not sure how this could be remedied though. Our cabin was cleaned very well every day and replenished with all the necessary disposables (water, bathroom tissue, etc). There were no children on board, so it was a very peaceful experience. When our time on the ship was done.....I hated to leave! I will definitely be going again.....the hard part is choosing which river to go for next!!
