We were intrigued by a new cruise line, had received ads in the mail, and signed up spontaneously. This was our first cruise ever. We were biased against cruising since I tend to get seasick, but thought we'd give it a try. Now we are hooked, and have already booked two more Viking Ocean cruises. And I did not get seasick!

The ship is beautiful, the decor tasteful and elegant in a Scandinavian way, but not overdone. The food was fabulous in all restaurants, service superb throughout, entertainment and lectures great. We loved the idea that almost everything - wine with lunch and dinner, wi-fi, shore excursions, port fees and taxes, were included. We only had a small bill at the end for gratuities and the mixed drinks we had ordered.

Since this was one of the first Viking Ocean cruises ever, there were a few small glitches in separating and lining up passengers for their respective shore excursions, a small deficiency that we are sure Viking has corrected by now.

Cabin Review

Cabin DV5

Very comfortable bed, sitting area, balcony, spacious shower, tasteful, restrianed decor. No complaints.
