We chose the Danube cruise (Nuremburg to Budapest) because it visited parts of Europe which were new to us. We started out with a 3 day pre-cruise stay in Prague...one of the most amazing cities we've ever visited. Great atmosphere, food, people and an architectural crossroad of Europe.

We could not have been more pleased with Viking's attention to detail in every regard. We were on e Egil, one of the newest of the Viking longships. Our tours and the tour guides were the highlight of our trip...So knowledigble and excited to share their cities with us plus time to explore on our own.

We were impressed by the accommodations and the friendliness of the entire staff and crew. There was nothing that they wouldn't do to make our trip perfect. (Although there wasn't much at they hadn't already thought of and provided. Meal choices had something for everyone and service was friendly, but professional. (By the 2nd day servers knew our names, drink preferences). Our room while small...but who wants to spend time in the room...had an extremely comfortable bed and nice bath. Plus every time we left the room, Ivan was just steps away, always with a smile, and immediately replaced towels and cleaned...we wondered if he ever slept!

Cabin Review

Smaller than expected, but adequate and very comfortable bed.

Port Reviews

Nuremberg

A large city with a decent tour but needed more time to explore.
