We are experienced Ocean cruisers, but this was our first river cruise. Embarkation went very smoothly, we were met by Viking staff at the airport and bussed to our ship. Our cabin was ready on our arrival and our luggage arrived minutes later. We embarked on Viking Baldur and then did a ship swap 7 days later to Viking Magni. The ship swap was a piece of cake, very smoothly handled by Viking staff. Both ships were spotlessly clean.

We had a standard cabin, very small, no balcony, small window at chin level to me (I'm 6' tall). Very comfortable bed, nice bathroom, adequate storage space. It was nice, but I won't cruise in that cabin again, no place to sit down except on the bed. Next cruise will be with a veranda. Cabin was kept spotlessly clean by Viking staff on both ships.

Food was excellent over all, only a couple of meals didn't suit me. Dining room was very well staffed, and the staff was courteous, attentive, polite, helpful - excellent! The same was true of the lounge and the terrace. The ports were all very nice, and the shore tour guides were the best we've ever encountered. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our shore tours.

Cabin Review

Cabin Standard

Small, spotlessly clean, adequate storage, nice little bathroom, comfortable bed. I won't stay in that cabin again, I'll book a Veranda.
