Not as good, but nice.

This was our second outing on the Ryndam. We continue to cruise two to three times per year and really enjoy the venue. From big ships with all the trimmings to the small ships which offer their own value. We have enjoyed taking the Pacific coastal transitional cruises each year as one of our restpits. After a 10-day cruise last year on Ryndam, we decided to do a brief 5-day out of San Diego. We had just finished a trip on the new Celebrity Solstice a few months ago and loved everything about it. I think in these economic times it is now better to stick with the newest ships as the older ships seem to be taking the brunt of the corporate cuts. This ship was greatly discounted over the last month (unfortunately, we booked many months out and  paid top dollar ! HAL does NOT give money back when they discount unlike Celebrity and RCI , who do! )

Love embarking out of San Diego Airport to ship within minutes. As we arrived around 1:30 p.m., our boarding process was again, effortless. From plane to cabin in under 30 minutes!
