I thought I would write to let you know how our cruise went for others who might be interested. To put this in context, I'm 55 and my girlfriend is 47, so it's coming from middle-aged people. I know a 25 year old would have a completely different take on the ship.

We did all of our check-in online through the NCL site and it was painless. We printed our cruisedocs and luggage tags and selected our port arrival time all at the same time.

Our options for arrival ranged from 10am right through to late in the afternoon - we chose 11am-11:30am thinking this would get us on the ship sooner - it did not. Selecting arrival times before noon simply means that you get placed in the holding area sooner, but they only begin to board at about noon. They board the ship by 'Group #', so getting there earlier means that you get a lower group number and therefore get on sooner once boarding begins. We arrived at 11am, received Group 10 to board and were on the gangway at 12:30.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BX

Our cabin was run-down. The ship is dated and things that should work smoothly like stateroom, bathroom and balcony doors were all temperamental at best.

The room size seemed smaller than other balcony rooms and with only one 110v and one 220v outlet in the room, a power bar is a must.

The balcony was good though.
