My husband and I cruised after a seven day absolutely amazing independent land tour through Alaska Tour and Travel. We choose Norwegian because it is more casual and we would not need as much luggage for the two weeks since we would not need as many dress clothes and shoes. Limiting luggage for the land portion is important.

We spent two nights in Seward and those days were great. We took the shuttle to exit glacier and went on the ranger hike. It was very enjoyable and inexpensive. The second day we went on the Kenai Fjords eight hour trip with Fox Island. It was the the number one favorite of the entire trip with the train to Denali and To Seward a close second.

There Is no question that the land portion was a much better experience than the cruise.
