We boarded in Miami in what was one of the easiest embarkations we've had and we have cruised a lot. We checked in after maybe a 10 minute wait in line, went to a central waiting room where we were given a boarding group number and waited until our number was called. Very efficient and very quick. We were directed to the Garden Café for lunch when we boarded only to find out later that the main dining room (which would have been our preference) was open, as well as O'Sheehan's. The Garden Café, which is their buffet area surprised us. The food was very good. We normally eat at the buffet as little as possible, but the food here was good. After lunch we explored the ship a little while waiting for our room to be ready. Rooms were ready around 1:00. We had a mini suite with an extended balcony and it was a perfect size for 2 people. The bathroom was huge, probably 3 times a normal cruise ship bathroom. The shower was very large with a rain shower and spa jets. Our balcony was large but no wider that other balcony's, just deeper. We spend a lot of time on the balcony on sea days so we thought the larger balcony would be better, but I'm not sure we would pay extra for that balcony again. We really aren't into the pool games or game show stuff, so we didn't do those. We visited the casino a couple of times, the slots were pretty tight, we went to the shows at night and all were really good. Burn the floor was excellent. We went to the comedy show a few times and both comedians were pretty funny. We did do the water slides one day and they were so much fun. I was surprised there were no lines, we just walked up and got on the slide. Great fun! The pool area is definitely small, but we don't generally hang out at the pool so we were okay with that. We had the 3 specialty restaurant dining package. We ate at Le Bistro, Cagney's and La Cuchina. The food in Cagney's was excellent. Le Bistro and La Cuchina were good, but nothing outstanding. The food in the main dining rooms was good, but we've had better on other cruise lines. We did excursions in all of the ports and thought they were very good, we enjoyed them all. The disembarkation was a little slow, but it takes a while to get 4000 people off the ship. We were given a 10:30 disembarkation time and was off the ship and at the airport by 11:00 am.

We really enjoyed it!

  • Lamanai Mayan Ruins
This is an excursion I would not do again. Too much time spent traveling to the ruins and back. We spent probably 4 hours of the day traveling and only and hour and a half at the ruins. The ruins were good, just too much traveling.

This was a lot of fun and relaxing at the same time. We took an open air vehicle to a spot where we jumped on tandem bikes and road through the jungle to a cenote' where we were able to get in and go through a short cave. It was cool, but a lot smaller than we were expecting. We then road the bikes back to the vehicle and drove a little ways to a private beach. The beach was beautiful, the water super clear and warm. Here we had time to swim or they provided stand up paddle boards to use as well. While here they cooked us lunch of chicken fajitas, quesadilla's and watermelon. Was very good. After lunch we packed up and headed back to the ship. Very nice excursion

Xplor -- This place was fantastic. We started out with the zip lines, super fun. We then did the amphibious vehicles, they were okay nothing super exciting here. Then we did the river swim. We chose to do the long route and were so glad we did. The river runs through a cave and is about 6 feet deep. The cave is incredible, way better than we expected. This is the excursion I would again for sure.

We didn't do anything here. Our flight got in the night before the cruise. Checked into our hotel, had dinner, went to bed. Next morning headed to the pier.

This was an awesome experience. The helmet scooters were a lot of fun and a new experience, the snorkeling was fabulous. Probably the clearest water I have ever snorkeled in. So many kinds of fish I have never seen anywhere else. This was one of my favorite excursions.
