After booking and reading some reviews we were very sceptical. But this was our first cruise and it didn't disappoint in any way. Conflicting reports on the Dress to Impress night. My husband took his dinner suit and got the chance to wear it and there were plenty of dinner suits and evening dresses and cocktail dresses around and most people dressed appropriately. Food was very varied and in the main good quality. Booking a table for two can be a bit arduous but stand your ground you either get you or go away with a pager. Sharing a table with others is a bit of a gamble especially if you get landed with people who have sailed the seven seas give a full commentary on every ship and do nothing but compare. Having said that we met some lovely interesting people on this cruise. We found staff could not do enough for us especially my husband favourite bar man Stanislav in the live lounge knew our favourite tipple after first night. We had one mishap during the cruise in our cabin a drainage problem in the shower cubicle. Our cabin stewart Faruhdin took control got us a plumber and quickly sorted. We went all inclusive and paid for drinks package well worth it only downside had to pay for bottled water and if you wanted canned drinks. Meals in buffet resteraunt Islands could be a cattle market at peek times. Entertainment mixed but in the main a good stand. We have booked for Discovery 2 for next year. Trips were interesting but some quite long and tiring. My husband had tried for years to get me on a cruise but I hate being on water could not believe how I adjusted to it and had no sea sickness at all so all you potential first time cruisers go for it!
