We chose this cruise because we wanted to see more of Canada than Halifax. The Dawn has been redone and was a great ship. We had a balcony room with plenty of space- loved keeping the door open at night hearing the waves. The ship is clean and updated. The staff and entertainment was great. The ports included Portland, me, Halifax,Charlottetown,Gaspe, Quebec City for 2 days, sydney, Halifax, St John and bar harbor. There were 8 of us so we made dinner reservations. We loved Racquel in the venetian , so we asked for her table each night. If we were going to a show, she made sure things moved along for us. We did eat in the Aqua dining room the 1st night and things were really slow. We also tried the included Asian restaurant and the food was barely warm and slow service. There were a variety of performers for entertainment and many places to view them. We took some cruise tours at Ports and also did things on our own. Gaspe was a disappointment, but maybe it was the rain. This cruise made me want to drive to many of our stops to get a better feel of the area. So much to see and do.My husband and I used the gym most mornings- a very big area with 2 rooms for stretching, etc and a room with lots of machines and weights.
