We decided to go on a 4 night cruise on this ship, just the wife and I this time because our daughter is in preschool. We have been on Majesty several times in the past and have never been disappointed. You just can't beat the price for a 4 night vacation anyway you cut it.

We are Platinum level so it literally took us maybe 10 minutes from walking into the port building until we were on the ship. The lines didn't look bad for the other lines either. Having never been through Port Canaveral before it seemed to be nice, well laid out, and organized.

I had read that the ship gone through a renovation earlier this year and I did notice they had installed the big TV screen on the pool deck, small flatscreen in the cabins in place of the old tube type TVs from when we went on this ship last year, and a kids play area/water park where the rearward pool used to be was added. There is still a partial pool back there you can get in so no big deal.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Stateroom

Cabin G

Nice and clean, decent size for a couple, your typical Royal Caribbean ocean view room. I prefer Royals bright/fresh color schemes throughout the cabins and the rest of the ship compared to other lines. Never heard much noise despite them running a floor polisher above us on the next deck in the middle of the night but it wasn't really bothersome. The bathroom was a regular size, had no issues. The A/C worked great, the mattresses were kind of hard but not unbearable by any means.

Port Reviews

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Did not go on any excursions. Just the port to get on and off the ship to catch a ride to Orlando airport. We used a company called Cortrans which have maybe 15 passenger or so van chassis/buses. Very nice people and clean vehicles. I'd suggest them for anyone traveling from Orlando airport to the cruise port. Its about a 45 mile ride.

Nassau

Just typical nassau. Places to eat, drink, sights to see. Drawbacks are very pushy vendors and taxi drivers, a sketchy looking beach area thats about a 15 minute walk away from the port. Not one of my favorite destinations but we always manage to have fun. The pirate republic brewing company has a tap room that I liked, theres a few good restaurants, a Señor Frogs, a trinket filled straw market, and of course....jewelry and souveneir shops abound as with most ports. You may be approached by someone trying to sell you weed so ignore and avoid.
