short said: it was a perfect cruise!

Regal Princess is again a step forward in the development of cruise ships - we have sailed with 8 different Princess ships before ... it offers everything you may dream of in a very pleasant - not to posh - environment. The staterooms are of same design as on all other ships ... inroom entertainment is really "wow" - offering movies, tv channels, port information, recording of shows and lectures ... Dining does not leave any wishes open ... Horizon Court is enlarged by Horizon Bistro and a Pastry Shop, the variety and quality of the food is marvellous ... besides you could choose between several dining rooms, restaurants, pizzeria, grill, ... really great !!! Congratulations to this further development ... especially regarding the sweet treats we enjoyed the improvement ... the shows presented at the theatre were top as always, ... the musical entertainment in the bars and on the plaza was varied and good - especially the ladies string quartett, but we had already "more intoxicating" performances on other cruises ... We did not book any cruise tours via princess ... we explored the ports mainly by our self:

- Kristiansand: there is not much to do .... just stroll through the village .... along the seafront, enjoying the yacht harbour, the small beach, ... heading back through the "old town"

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Cabin with Balcony, port side, at the back of the ship .... near to elevator and laundry ... only two floors up to Horizon Court entrance ,-)), and one more for the Gym ... neat and clean interior, perfect (for us new) in-door entertainment with large flat screen, very caring cabin stewart Daniel

Port Reviews

Cobh (Cork)

we booked a tour with ecoach.ie ... got perfect information where to easily find the tour bus ... a great driver (Kevin) gave us very interesting and also funny information on Ireland ... they really kept the promise to be at Blarneys Castle before the crowds ... we were among the first to climb up for kissing the famous stone ... when we descended, the line was already waiting all around the castle ... further stops on the tour were at scenic Charlesfort and Kinsale .... the tour took us further through Cork ... at all stops we had more than enough time to enjoy the area, shopping, eating ... I can only recommend this tour ...and it cost only a third from the on-board sold tours with the same itinerary

Kristiansand

there is not much to do .... just stroll through the village .... along the seafront, enjoying the yacht harbour, the small beach, ... heading back through the "old town"

Bergen

easy to enjoy in walking distance from cruise terminal ... walking around Bryggen, taking a ride up to Floyen, Visiting Fantoft stave church, strolling through the harbour-near area of small old houses ...

Greenock (Glasgow)

Train station to Glasgow I walking distance (approx. 20 minutes; buy tickets at self service machine and avoid lines at the ticket booth); We took a hopon-hopoff tour through Glasgow, that was the best way to get around the city, we visited museum and explored the city center by foot ... trains back to Greenock every 20 minutes ... (there are two different trains - quick ones and slower ones stopping on more stations ... try to get on a fast one ;-))

Belfast

16 Dollar per person for a bus ride to the city center!! - no - we walked one way .. approx. 35 minutes .... in the city we again took a hopon-hopoff tour ... it was very interesting ... I would say 1 day is too short for the city,,,, we would have loved spending some time in the area with the mural paintings, but we decided to visit the Titanic Experience Center - and it was worth!!!! Great time there ... many new facts on the ship and the tragedy, many interactive parts ... we can only recommend it! From there we took a cab back to the ship for 8 Dollar incl. tip!!!

Boston

the easiest way is to take the offered bus shuttle to the city center (8 Dollar) .... from there we explored the city along the freedom trail on our own ... shopping and strolling around the new designed Harbour walk rounded up the day ...
