Having sailed with RCCL 10 times we always wanted to try an OASIS class ship. Along comes Harmony Of The Seas (HOTS), and an opportunity to try the largest cruise ship.
My wife and I are 60, so not exactly young, but were saddened to see some of the negative comments made about HOTS.
Our emabarkation was easy but slowed down by the use of Ipads in Barcelona, the person booking us in took ages to run the credit card approval, even though it was pre-approved and noted on our set sail documents. however the biggest criticism goes to the delivery of luggage. We boarded at 11:00am and did not receive our luggage at all. Wandering around the ship, we then came across luggage spread out along the corridors both sides, we had to take the luggage from a-b times 3, not great RCCL.
Great cabin with all that you want. balcony grear, shower graer and storage area spacious.Loretta was fabulous.Only negatives doorsopen outwards and when you have nothing on, there is nowhere to hide behind. Also doors bang loudly along the ship,
Lovely to walk around and very nice city.
We walked around on our own and enjoyed the port part which was pretty expensive. Dont like RCCL chages to transit people to the town though.
Love Rome but have been many times, RCCL appear not to use the private train anymore which is a shame.
Naples itself is not brilliant, but close by are Sorrento, Capri and Pompeii. They are lovely.
