NEVER AGAIN!...This is the title of my review. Yes, after being Silver member of Norwegian Cruise line (using this cruise line many times for different destinations) - this cruise to Alaska with NCL will be my LAST cruise with them. And here is why.

I wouldn't complain about the bed size in cabin (very small SINGLE beds) but I'll start with FOOD in restaurants. As you already familiar, cruise line has many restaurants, starting with 'specialty' restaurants where you can PAY an additional money for the quality of the food...but guess what NCL Jewel decide to do? Yes, they decided to use 'PAY extra' for food in main restaurants where food in the menu should be complimentary, without any charge! I was unpleasantly surprised when I saw $24.99 charges (plus 18% gratuity) applied for few dishes in main restaurant...for Surf and Turf item and Beef Steaks...!!! So, I called the restaurant manager and asked why would these items be included in Main restaurants at all? What is the reason to add 'La Carte' charges in complimentary restaurants? And explanation was: 'we have new management and it's our new policy, so called 'pilot' to see if people likes it'. What to be like about? If I want to pay extra for my food then I would choose the specialty restaurant not the main/complimentary restaurant...I absolutely don't need to see these charges and be intimidated with these additional charges options, in my opinion! Or maybe NCL think that if my stomach is hungry then my brain will not be able to think and I'll pay extra?!!!!!...hahahaha...right...

NCL has been bought by Oceania cruise line year ago and quality of the food on NCL went down drastically, from salty soups to uneatable meat (try to cut your beef and duck and you'll see what I mean!). I saw/hear a lot of people complaining about, saying that they never been seeing such a low quality of food!...Now, let's talk about something else...like TOILET PAPER (because after such food I can guarantee you that your next stop will be toilet:).
