The food was great in Silk road, average in Prego, inconsistent in the Crystal dinning room, but great in Tastes and Lido. Housekeeping missed an entire day in the middle of the cruise...
Room service never showed, housekeeping had to bring the limes, tonic water, etc. Entertainment was average except for the Cruise Director who is a ventriloquist and was very good. One of the bartenders was great....however when asked for the same drink from a different bartender, it was not as good. The wines in the crystal dinning room were very limited....one of each one, chardonnay, one cab, one merlot, etc...that wine from from their own crystal vineyards.
The shore excursions were not good, the tour director and bus driver were not on the same page and the bus left us in town and was lost at one point...tour guy who was a local could not find the bus. Some of these towns looked like third world countries.
The cabin appeared smaller than other balcony staterooms I have had. The bathroom did not have a separate shower and one had to step into a tub with very high sides higher than a hot tub to get into the shower...I would suspect this to be an issue for elderly passengers.
Our friends who live there met us at the pier and showed us the island! Outstanding
town was an average city but with much building happening...went to the Citadel on our own.
Not a place I would ever return
Walked around to old town, had lunch, saw too many homeless people with dogs sleeping next to them on the sidewalk...very depressing...would not return to Montreal
This was a very clean wonderful city!! Have been before and would return
great embarkation process
