American Star, Fall Foliage tour. Unfortunately, the leaves were not turning so everything was green.

My wife and I accompanied her parents for their anniversary. My wife was one of the youngest at 57; the average age is 80+, not a bad thing but not a party boat, which was fine with me. The boarding was good as was the room; plenty large with nice bathroom. We were on the second level and had a balcony.

The part that makes the trip are the staff; mostly young men and women in their 20s who have signed up for a 16 week tour. They do the waiting on tables, they clean the rooms and the do the general cleaning. All were great with a positive attitude in a job that required them to work 12-14 hours a day. They received an hour or two break.

Very nice; large. We had the handicap room (not sure why) but the bathroom was extra large. Bed was comfortable and the picture window great. Nice balcony.
