Not impressed with NCL; Royal Caribbean, Disney, and even Carnival preferred.

This was my first time at Norwegian and my 15th cruise. Prior to this we have gone on Disney, Royal Caribbean, and Carnival. We decided to go on the Escape because we saw a new ship with decent deals. Overall I was not impressed with Norwegian. If this is your first cruise you would have probably loved it as you would have not experienced anything else.

My main complaint was the lack of service at the main dining and somewhat room attendant. For some reason this ship only had one waiter per table so service was really slow and dinner took over 2 hours. I am used to having the same waiter and their assistants throughout the entire dinner. There were times when our group didn't have any drinks refilled for 30 minutes. One waiter just seemed odd and the service showed. When you asked for something it felt like ages before you would get it. Very frustrating.

I was also not a fan of reserving everything like shows and dinners. Everything was sold out as there were limited shows unlike the traditional early and late shows for early and late dinners. It made arranging the shows a puzzle.
