Embarkation- We live 2 hours away from Port Everglades so we drove in. Very easy to find and parking garage right next to the building we needed to check in for our cruise. $15.00 a day and it's covered and has security. All we did was unload our bags and gave them to a porter, tipped $1.00 per bag then we parked. Easy, Easy. Now having to get in line and wait to check in was ridiculous. It was worse that waiting in line to get on a ride at Disney during peak season! It took us 2 hours from the time we got there at 1pm to get on the ship. So make sure you get there by late morning. Embarkation employees were very nice and once we got to the final area to be processed it went quickly.Cabin- OV Riviera deck 1245. We were actually in a great spot because just below us was the gangway to get off for excursions and several decks above us was the theater. Elevators and stairs were very close by. The cabin room was much bigger than I thought. The window was huge, I actually sat in it! Nice flat screen tv, plenty of storage space plus you can put things under your bed. Bed was very comfy and linens were nice. I was surprised how they set up the bathroom. The use of space was great. There was also a full length mirror in one of the closets. Make sure you bring a extension cord with extra outlets cause there is only one on the vanity to use. Cabin Stewards- I Wayans and I Putu were wonderful! Always said hello with a smile and always took time to ask how are trip was going.Dining- We had the Posh restaurant at the back of the ship. Very nice! Food was very good. Service was even better! Juan and Kaudeck were fabulous! I especially liked Kaudeck. He always greeted us by name and he made sure we had everything we needed. They perform twice during the week and he was great! We were seated at a 4 top booth which I didn't request when making the reservation but it turned out the couple they seated us with had kids that were the same age our son is and they also lived in Florida and also celebrating 20 years! We had a lot in common. Carnival did a great job matching us up. Every morning we ate in the Freedom restaurant where they had a buffet for breakfast and ordered omelets. Food there was also very good. Lunch we had hot pressed sandwiches from the deli and OMG they were good! Tried the Mexican buffet and the burgers both were very good. Desserts galore! Believe me there are so many different choices for everyone to enjoy.Supper Club- WOW!!! You must try this at least once! I thought the food in the dining room was great but this food was fine dining at it's best. Unbelievable! The service here is impeccable!Entertainment- From the shows in the theater The Big Easy and Ticket To Ride to the comedian, Piano bar player, Karaoke, dance club, casinos, activities on lido deck and whatever else you can possibly think of they were all great! Something for everyone. The ship- The ship was beautiful. Yes it is decorated with all sorts of designs, textures and colors but I thought is was great how they made the ambience a fun and lively environment instead of a subdued decor. There is actually 3 pools with one being in the very back of the ship for adults only. We never hung out there because I always wanted to be out by the other 2 pools where we could see the jumbo screen and listen to live music plus the water slide was there. That was so much fun! The last night we watched a movie under the moonlight and it was nice. It gets a little chilly at night but they have blankets to use for that purpose on deck! I only wish they would of had popcorn.Ship Director- Todd and his sidekick were very entertaining and funny they had a daily live show that you could watch on your tv or on the jumbo screen where people could call them to announce a special occasion or just say something special about someone. They always laughed and made jokes which made for some good entertainment. Debarkation- Very good! Fast and easy! They give you a number and when they call it your off in minutes. Customs didn't take very long either. The line to check out went pretty quickly. Much, much better than getting on the ship by far.I could go on and on but I will leave you with this...If you decide to choose this ship you won't be sorry. It is fabulous! The staff are wonderful and the ship itself is something to experience. We had the best time ever! I really would like to take my 16 year old son back on this ship because I know he would have a great time too.
