This cruise was on our bucket list because of the itinerary, and the fact it was a two week cruise. We were notified that Celebrity was moving up the boarding time because of hurricane Hermme. Somehow they were able to get previous guests off the ship and start boarding at 10:00. We were met with champion and allowed in our room by 1:30. We sailed early beat the hurricane with only a few ruff seas. The ship is the oldest in the fleet and it shows it somewhat, but overall the common areas were in good shape and only the room really reflected the ships age. A knob missing here, rust on some of the painted surfaces, and a small shower with a curtain.

The crew from the captain (Alex) on down were excellent. While we saw little of our two cabin stewards the room was always clean and neat. They made every attempt to say Hi on a daily basis, and make certain we were happy with the service we were receiving.

We had open seating in the dinning room for two days then moved to early seating. While our table mates arrived at 5:30 we never came into the dinning room until 6:00 or later. Our waiter Carmelo was outstanding! He made the trip so much more than just a cruise. Our wine steward and assistant waiter were also great. The food was great with only two days main selection was a little dry and more like processed food. One day a 1 1/2 lbs Main lobster was a highlight as was prime rib.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Nice but somewhat tired. The size was average and kept clean some problems with the TV changer, a knob missing from the bathroom cabinet, and a small shower. The bed was OK and there was a lot of storage for two weeks of clothes.
