The NY Times did a review of the top places to see in 2016 and #2 was Bordeaux. We wanted to try our first river cruise and were recommended to Uniworld. We just got home today after experiencing a wonderful week planned expertly by the crew and management of River Royale. Everything was first class from the moment we boarded. The rooms were gorgeous, the food was delicious and the wine poured freely. The crew made you feel that you were special and always greeted you by name and were always asking what they could do for you, The tour guides they hired were extremely knowledgeable and all had great personalities. We made so many great friends from Canada and the US but there were also many Australians on our cruise. Everyday was planned carefully but there were always alternatives for all lifestyles, however this cruise is definitely for wine lovers with tours of chateaus and vineyards. Two highlights for me....a tour of a wine barrel making factory and a small cooking class in St.Emilion with a private chef in a chateau. When we departed this morning we were taken by bus to the airport where we were met by another employee who made sure we all got where we were going, We are already planning our next trip with Uniworld!

Cabin Review

Stateroom with Window

Cabin 2

The cabin was decorated in blue and white with a queen size bed, more pillows than you can possibly use, always fresh water, a candy dish and large screen TV which we hardly watched. There was plenty of room to hang and store clothing. We were really only there to sleep - too much going on everywhere.
