I hadn't been on a cruise in 30 years. Everything has changed. We went to Alaska with another couple that has cruised on Norwegian many times. We sailed on the Pearl. We had an inside cabin that I thought was a bad idea. The cabin was perfect. We were in our cabln so little that to spend the extra money on a balcony that we probably wouldn't have used anyway we spent the money we saved on the excursions! The Pearl was wonderful. It does need some updating - carpeting, some new furniture but overall it was wonderful. There are approximately 1100 crew members on board and each and everyone of them was wonderful, friendly, wanting to help in anyway possible. The food was delicious especially Cagney"s. The entertainment was wonderful especially the comedian Tim Kaminski, He just made us laugh all the time. Each port of call was wonderful. In Skagway we booked the train ride with Norwegian because it is the most popular excursion. It cost approximately $200.00. If you get off the ship at any of the ports, there are other "vendors" selling tours. Each vendor knows what time the ships leave port. We saved A LOT of money going on excursions booking other than Norwegian. We went to Mendenhall Glacier and whale watching for $130.00, we went on a float plane thru the Fjords for $200.00. If I had a complaint, is that Norwegian charged so much for the excursions and had we not been with people that cruise a lot, we would not have known how to save as much money as we did. Overall experience Norwegian Pearl is 5 stars all around. The best trip I have ever taken!

Cabin Review

Inside
Cabin ID 9015
Everything was excellent. We had an inside cabin which I thought would cause me to get stir crazy but it did not. We had a queen bed with ample room on both sides of the bed. The bathroom was just the right size for one person. The room was clean and well kept. Each night we got in with a animal towel waiting for us!
