Embarkation was really good. 30 minutes from terminal entrance to ships cabin. Disembarkation not so good. Seemed rather disorganised and ended with standing in a long queue for 15 minutes or so. Why do people wait until they arrive at the card reader post / person then start to open their bags or pockets to search for their card.
We love the wide promenade deck on the Aurora. Lovely walk on sea days.
I particularly like the sauna cabin which is directly upstairs from the gym. Only cruise ship I know which has a sauna cabin with Windows / views out to sea.
Old wooden wardrobes spoil what would still be acceptable room. Thats just our opinion however.
If you like swimming / swimming in the sea. The lido pool complex is brilliant for a swim. New build / recently opened. About 25 / 30 minutes walk from the ships berth. A mile and a bit. Keep the sea to your left. Up the bank / along and down the other side. Its 5 Euros each entrance. Life guards / changing rooms lockers. sun beds. cafe.
Needs to be sunny days obviously. Recommend.
Very quiet. Sat outside a cafe and drank local lager Dorado. Only 2 Euros a pint. Lady that served us was so polite.
If you do nothing else walk along to the Gran Hotel (grand hotel) and take the lift up to the 17th floor. There a public bar / cafe. Take in the views through the huge glass panel windows - all of Arrecife. They charged only 2.50 euros for bottles of chilled Coke with ice n lemon.
To busy for us. Bit like London. Good shopping though i was informed.
