I do not require a wheelchair or a walker, but I could not deal with all the walking required at the places where we docked. The shore excursion buses were far away from the boat, and I was dripping sweat by the time I got there. In Halifax, we were extremely far away from the correct pier and RC claimed they had a shuttle to get us there. WRONG. The shuttle only went half the distance and then we were told to walk. I had to turn around and go back to the ship and saw nothing of Halifax.

The dining was not great due to our wait staff -- slow and sullen. The room was great and the entertainment was excellent. I play bridge and the space they gave us in the dining room was totally inadequate -- we were all crammed in together and had trouble moving from table to table. I was also disappointed that they changed the itinerary without notice and did not stop at the Faroe Islands. I also thought the shore excursions were very overpriced and was able to find much better prices with private tour companies who hire retired geology teachers as guides in Iceland.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean View Stateroom

quite nice -- great service

Port Reviews

Copenhagen

loved Copenhagen -- arrived 2 days early so I could see everything

Oslo

was able to meet up with a friend and did some sightseeing before genuine Norwegian lunch

Kristiansand

nothing exciting small town

Reykjavik

Loved this port -- took private tours on both days. Saw the same sights in a smaller group, with much better prices. Also the tour guides were wonderful -- both days we had retired geology teachers as our guides.

Akureyri

loved this port and my private tour

Halifax

was horrible -- I could not walk all the way from the ship to the pier -- no wheelchairs available and the shuttle was a joke
