We chose to sail to Bermuda on the Summit for the 5th year in a row because we are able to drive to Port Liberty. I first sailed on the Summit in 2008 on a 12 day trans Atlantic to Europe out of Puerto Rico & you could say I fell in love with the Summit. As for the Bermuda cruises they were once really great. As each year passes the amenities decrease as the price of the cruise climbs. The public areas of the ship have been redone beautifully but the cabins are in need of updating. We had a balcony cabin on deck 8. The food quality has fallen as well as the dining room service. The dining room staff seemed very rushed with perhaps to many tables for each waiter to care for. Lobster/beef Wellington night was always special. Now you're pretty much on your own to get your lobster meat out of the tail. No offer of melted butter. No one asking if you'd care for seconds.
Bermuda is lovely, we enjoy the beaches & going into town to visit the shops. Transportation around the island by bus is terrific. We love the ferry rides too!
Needs updating.
