It was a wonderful relaxing cruise. Embarkation was smooth. The security line took the most time and that wasn't bad. We had an Aft extended cabin on the Empress deck plenty of room for two people great views. Our room Stewart kept on top of things and was able to roll with our schedule sleeping late and showering latter in the evening. Our room had great access to the parts of the ship we used most, the adult pool aft on the Lido deck and the Casino and Red Frog Pub a deck below.

Guy's Burgers were awesome the Pizza Pirate was better than I remembered. Now as far as the rest of the dinning experience, service was good. Two nights we ate at the buffet it was fair, the best part about it was probably the salad bar. The MDR was really hit and miss. One thing i would have to say I have been on 11 Carnival Cruises and for the last few years the food has gone down hill consistently. Carnival has got this to a science with every corner possible being cut to save money. That being said there was always plenty to eat and if you don't like what your eating they are happy to bring you something else.

On board entertainment was good. We enjoyed the Board Walk Band that played across from the casino. We enjoyed the comedians there were four that were changed out mid cruise. It was great to hear calypso music on the lido deck. We are not big on Broadway type shows but we did enjoy the magician and the newly wed show. Our cruise director had a lot of energy and tried to make every event fun. I am a firm believer that if you don't have a great time on a cruise you just might have happiness issues.

Cabin Review

Cabin 8M

Plenty of room, great view. On a couple of nights you could hear the noise from the disco below.

Port Reviews

Orlando (Port Canaveral)

Stayed the night before at the Cocoa Beach Holiday Inn Express worked out great.

St. Martin

Took a water Taxi to the beach. Great time!

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

We had a Taxi driver give us an two hour private island tour for $40 he did a great job of showing us around. We stopped for drinks and conch fritters at a local pub.

San Juan

San Juan not my favorite stop but we did walk to old San Juan and had a nice lunch at a street cafe.

Grand Turk

Walked to Jack's Shack for lunch than hung out at the beach and pool at Margaritaville. Lots of fun! Beautiful beach and pool.
