The Aurora is a very comfortable mid size ship and very much the sister to the Oriana. Great curved stern which is no longer the style on more modern ships. Food is fine, not 5 star but standard acceptable with good size potions in dining room, however I don’t think the menu choice is quite as long as once was. But was did have a pefect position for our allocated table for two. The Horizon buffet is probably the best we have had with very well designed seating area and plenty of tables for two, in fact we never failed to get such a table. The theatre is single tier but strangely never a problem to get a seat even if you arrive around 10 mins before the show, this may be due to the slow moving passengers or most have seen the shows before.

The ship's headliners group need to get some new shows. The one let down on entertainment was the very poor lecturer ( Mcnally) who put on a series on lectures on spying , we gave up after two they were really dreadful. Lecturers is one aspect of P & O that we have found poor on other cruises.

The Cabin on deck nine was fine with a small balcony, but the bathroom is really tiny. We had some very noisy passengers next door who seemed to have a party around midnight on several nights. Note that you get some kitchen smells drifting up when sitting on the balcony. Also the tv is one of the smallest around and virtually impossible to watch, although there are usb connections we did not connect pads due to the screen size.
