Having done 4 Cruises before we decided to try a different cruise line. Embarkation and disembarkation went very smoothly and we were very impressed with this however I was extremely disappointed with this cruise. I travelled with my work colleague and was really looking forward to it. The first few days didn't seem too bad as we were excited however after that we got completely fed up with the constant music blaring out wherever you went. On deck, in the bars on the promenade, it was constant. My friend went up on deck at 4.30 in the morning because she couldn't sleep and it was even blasting out then. The DJ seemed to have nothing else to play but loud rubbish. He didn't look at his audience in the late night club. If he had he would have tempered the music accordingly. The sail aways were awful with the music being the ridiculous Aga Do, The Macarena etc. Just like butlins at sea.

The food in The Sapphire Restaurant was lovely and the service we received from Derel, Glendon and Craig in seating area 500 was brilliant. Such nice guys. The bar service was also great. Most of the entertainment was focused around the Promenade in the evenings which was aimed at getting you to spend money in the shops. There was nowhere nice to sit on deck comfortably in the evenings to appreciate the night sky's only sun beds and a few very hard white chairs. On other ships there have been wicker chairs and tables to sit in around the pool bars.

The cabins were very nice, we had a balcony on deck 7. Mind you the balconies weren't that clean. The shower was pretty good with proper doors instead of the horrible curtains that tend to cling to you when showering. I don't think I will cruise with RC again especially having sailed with Celebrity and P&O before.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin very nice. Plenty of space and loads of hangers. Nice shower and plenty of room under bed for suitcases. Good storage.
