We booked the Canadian At Par Offer which was great, except all of the drinks onboard were still in USD! So by the time they added the 18% gratuity and we paid the 15% exchange rate on top of that it became rather pricey.

Loved cruising out of New York. We stayed at the Hilton on 6th Avenue & 54th Street. We walked from there to the pier which took about 20 minutes. If you're in relatively good shape with a rolling suitcase it's an easy downhill walk.

I've cruised Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Princess and Norwegian previously and I particularly like the "Freestyle" cruising concept that Norwegian offers. You can dine where you want, when you want with who you want. Dress up or not. Excellent concept!

Cabin Review

Family Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B4

Cabin was fine for 2. Would be tight for 3 adults, primarily because there isn't a lot of storage space. Location was great, close enough to stairs & elevators that it was convenient, far enough away so that it wasn't noisy. The port side (which this cabin is on) was nice because the smokers congregated on the starboard side of deck 8. The noisy outdoor bar areas were also in the middle of the ship starboard, so it was good not to be over them either.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

We stayed in our favourite city for 4 days pre-cruise. LOVE New York and get there as much as possible.

King's Wharf

Nice little shops to browse for souvenirs. Loved that the ferry service was close to the ship and went directly to St. George's or Hamilton.
