I do not normally write reviews which it is why I have delayed so long in writing this one. This was my and my wifes first cruise and arranged through Saga. We chose this cruise for the ports of call and that there was only one sea day. Everything went perfectly from start to finish including the weather with blue skies all the way and sea like a millpond. We were amazed by the ship although Connie is one of Cellebrity's earlier ships all of the crew were so friendly and helpful.Captain Tasos was excellent, so was Cruise Director Kyle Dodson. The choice and quality of food in all dining venues we visited was excellent, we used the San Marco and Oceanview and visited the Tuscan grill on one occasion. We started at Venice which was fantastic and it was also good having the music playing as we left port. The whole Adriatic coast and ports and are wonderful, unspoilt and clean. We next visited Koper in Slonenia where we walked through the old town and strolled along the market stalls and local dancing and singing which had been put on as a cruise ship was in port. Ravennna Italy was next and again we strolled through the town and visited churches as it was Sunday. Zadar Crotia came next another pretty walled town which we strolled through and just had a coffee and cake at lunchtime and listened to the pipes on the quayside. Split Croatia we went on a tour, arranged by Celebrity, of Diocletions Palace, the guide was very informative Kotor Montenegro on the inland lake where we watched as the ship did 180 degree turn as we had breakfast in the Oceanview and Captain Tasos steered our tender ashore and helped everyone on board off the tender. We then walked all the way to the top of the hill with the ruins of the fortifications at the top. Dubrovnik Croatia which was packed but fantastic as we walked round the wall in the heat of the day. Next was our only sea day when Captain Tasos joined the water polo team to cheers from the guests watching. Valletta Malta again a fantastic experience cruising into the harbour and visiting the old town we also took the Hop on Hop off bus. Catania Scicily Italy .We went on a trip to Lovely Tormina where the Tour of Scicily was passing through so we saw all the old cars which parked in the market square with music and entertainers, another wonderful day. Naples Italy, We have stayed in Sorrento previously so we stayed on board and sun bathed. Finaly Citavecchia (Rome) we did not have time to visit Rome but were taken to other sites on the way to the airport. The passengers were made up of north and south Americans and Australians who I enjoyed talking to. As you see I would thoroughly recommend this cruise (.We have been on 2 others with Celebrity and have another booked.)
