We chose this destination because my niece had never been up to Alaska. I've enjoyed it for many years. I've cruised on many lines & previously on the Constellation (out of Dover, UK), Infinity and Millenium in recent years. Their brand image strategy has changed from trying to capture cruisers from Cunard, Seabourn or Silver Seas lines to maybe just trying to attract new cruisers in their 30's & 40's. One of their signatures of the brand was a harpist playing in the public areas in afternoons/evenings or vocal quartets performing. Now, you have a loud rock music band playing on bottom floor of the atrium.

Many changes to their style of cruising: One real nice change was deck 14 buffet from traditional 2 long lines of buffet to some 20 food stations spread out nicely; we enjoyed it for brkfst and lunch; great assortment & changing every day; very well done.

Other changes were disappointing:
