We chose this cruise as a lovely weekend away and to celebrate my friends birthday. As we had a suite we had priority boarding which was very quick, 15 minutes from arriving at the port to being onboard. When on board we had a fabulous lunch in the cinammon restaurant with complimentary drinks. The suite was lovely and large with lots of extras. Only downside was it was a disabled cabin with no bath only shower, we had not requested that cabin but were on a guarantee cabin. The suite was very large but i was really looking forward to a long luxurious bath . Dinner was in the bay tree second sitting. The food was of a very poor quality. The main was luke warm and the meal was very rushed. We ordered soft drinks and a bottle of wine also extra ice. After 6 requests the drinks arrived after the main course!! The ice arrived in a pint glass with no tonges not even a spoon, no ice bucket for the wine which was dumped on the table. I complained to the wine waitress who was very aggressive and said it was a party ship and they were very busy! I also complained at the desk again no response only he would look into the complaint, we never heard back. The last night we ate at the beach house were the staff were very good. The wine arrived at the table from the bay tree restaurant with half of it missing, i know because i marked the bottle. The major issue was the continued filthy state of the main pool and bar area, overflowing ashtrays, glasses on the floor, towels not picked up. Tables not cleared. It did not matter what time you went to that area it was always filthy. The staff on the ship did not seem happy to be there also they were reluctant to serve you or even smile. This is something i found highly unusual. We normally go with celebrity or holland america and i would not be in a rush to change to p&o. Having said all the above we did enjoy the cruise but iwould not travel with them again.
