We couldn't have been more disappointed. The cabin was okay and that was about it. The room was a reasonable size and had bath but the bottom of the shower curtain was mouldy. We have previously sailed with Norwegian and there is no comparison. The standard of the food was very low. The Italian restaurant was ok but you had to pay a supplement and some of the food at Bordeau was ok but the service was very patchy. The rest of the food was abysmal. The drinks were also bad with loads of premixes. There was one bar that was more expensive where the drinks were good. Even the coffee was awful. The service was variable. We had a very good steward and there were a few friendly waiters but they were often quite surly. The ship was old and shabby and often smelt dank and mouldy. Our deck furniture was railings were rusty and the paint was peeling. The entertainment was poor and once again no comparison to Norwegian that had Broadway standard entertainment. All the music and performances were 3rd rate. For the main part the ports were disappointing as they exist for the cruise ships. Skagway in particular was like Disneyland. The excursions were poor and there were unnecessary charges for bus transport when it was a 5min walk from the ship to the excursion. We would never go on another Princess Cruise and it has actually put us off cruising period.

Disappointing is an understatement
