Thought we would try another cruise line for a change. Carnival Spirit had a small five day cruise from Sydney to Moreton Island, and return.

First the good news. Getting from the airport to the ship was made easy by electing to use the Carnival airport to ship bus transfer, the unexpected bonus was the priority boarding pass which enabled a quick painless boarding procedure. Good one Carnival, very impressed.

The ships decor is something to behold. If the pharaoh's statues and ancient Egyptian history is your thing you will love it, actually after the initial shock and working out that it is very Los Vegas casino style you begin to like it. The thing is Carnival call it the fun ship and this is IMO the general theme, don't take it too seriously and have fun, get into the swing of things. The staff and very friendly, nothing being too much trouble. We had a balcony cabin and it was good, very good in fact and well maintained.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

Cabin well maintained and everything worked. Bathroom layout excellent.

Cabin steward (I Made) and his offsider (Jose) where terrific.

Balcony was a good size with two adjustable chairs and foot stool.

Plenty of cupboard space a little light on draw space, TV much too small for area.

Bed very comfortable and air con. very pleasant, comfy sofa and small table.
