Oriana is our favourite cruise ship and have sailed on her 4 times but she is in desperate need of a major overhaul the noise in the dining room from the engine room made it impossible to hold a conversation with fellow table guests. We believe that she will be getting a make over in December 2016 but what I have read it is only smoothing over the cracks she needs a major overhaul and we will not sail on her again until the problems with the engine have been resolved.
The entertainment was poor considering it was a Christmas and New Year cruise with very few special arrangements for in comparison to the one we had about 10 years before in the Caribbean with PO.
The food and service in the restaurant in the evening was good and an effort was made to maintain dress code which appears to be a thing of the past and what I mean by that is if it is a formal evening keep it a formal evening unlike the cruise we have just had with Princess where there appeared to be a competition with some guest as to who could get away with the minimum dress effort being made.
Much need of refurbishment especially the bathroom.
