Choosing the Dawn Princess was a mistake. The ship had pipes leaking into staterooms and public areas and the smell was not pleasant. The staff did not act quickly enough and we were inconvenienced and sleeping in a dank cabin for four nights before it started to get better and only after my husband got annoyed. This ship is going to P&O next year and it seemed like the crew, including the captain, were in wind-down mode. The entertainment was poor and most we had seen on a cruise in January this year. It was a back to back cruise and they repeated the menu from the first leg on the second. Not even the chef could create a different menu for the second part of the voyage. Service was average at best. The Asian ports of call all seemed the same after the first and the shore excursions on Princess were so expensive and no value for the money paid. Would not cruise on the Dawn again but it has made us question cruising on Princess again as well.
Location at the back of the ship on the port side. Lots of engine vibration and noise. The cabin had a leak before we boarded and still damp and smelly for 5 days/4 nights.
We rented a car and drove to Swan Velly on our own. Had a great lunch there and only and hour each way from Fremantle.
We rented a taxi with another couple and had the best day for $20 per person.
Just another big city
We took the shuttle to the mall then visited the eastern and orient hotel which was fabulous.
Only good duty free shopping here and more countryside.
Need a couple of days here. Took a taxi to Chinatown.
Just another place to visit.
Got a taxi to Pattaya beach, looked around and then taxi back to the ship.
Tender to the shore. Walked around and got back on the ship
Took a taxi to Kuta Beach. Did some shopping and taxi back to the tender. Had a long wait for the tender so don't leave your return to the last minute.
