Embarkation to Tilbury was quick and efficient. Only problem was the queue waiting to get in to the car park in Tilbury Docks. Once in, cases disappeared and we were on the bus to the cruise terminal. Once on board we were shown to our cabin and our luggage turned up outside our door before we had had time to look round. First class. This is our 6th cruise with C&MV but the first on the Magellan. On the good old M P for the first 5. As with our previous cruises the cabin was bright and clean and was kept that way throughout our voyage. The public areas of the ship are also always kept very clean.

We ate in the Waldorf and the choice of food and service was first class. Waiters very attentive and efficient. Some nights we ate in Raffles, where again the menu was excellent. Only on one night the waiters failed to clear our starter dishes and then main dishes, so before our dessert I took the dirty plates to their work station. NOT very impressed.
