We had a great time. This was our first NCL cruise. Loved the thermal suite in the spa - best decision of the cruise! The only thing that disappointed us was the service on this ship. It wasn't bad; it just wasn't personable. For instance, room stewards do not introduce themselves (not just ours - confirmed with other passengers.) We ate in Taste 5 out of 7 nights and never had the same server twice. Bar service was quick and sometimes with a smile. We liked the Prime Meridian bar next to Cagney's for the most friendly service. O'Sheehan's bar (and food) were both good too. Flamingo grill (free) was closed for our cruise while they convert it to Margaritaville (pay). Only quick service food was buffet. Food at O'Sheehans came pretty fast usually, but if you were in a hurry, I wouldn't count on it. Food in the MDR was good , but we weren't blown away by anything. We paid (very reasonable) for sushi one night at Wasabi and that was our favorite dinner. Service in the Tropicana Room (nearly 2 hours) was MUCH slower than in Taste (usually 1 hour). We didn't make reservations for any of the productions or comedy shows, and we ended up not going due to being "sold out" and not wanting to wait in the stand by lines for 20 minutes or so just to see if we could get in. I am wondering if it's similar to pool chair hogs... maybe people just reserve everything and then probably do not even go to half of the shows. Howl at the Moon was easy to just walk into each night - no reservations needed. The Newlywed and Couples game shows were great, but you really need to get to the atrium early if you want a seat. The upper level at O'Sheehans was usually filled 25 mins before the atrium shows too. We didn't use the main pools due to having spa passes. We probably would have spent more time at Spice H2O if we didn't have the spa. If smoke bothers you, use the waterfall side of Spice since the smoking area is on the bar side. FYI do not wear any jewelry/watches/hats/sunglasses or really anything besides your swim suit for the fast slides, or they make you get out of line to go take it all off and start over. Also, you have to have sleeves to do the ropes course. I wore a tank top and had to go change while my friends waited. We really enjoyed our cruise. The ship is so pretty, and there is plenty to do. As usual, cruises are what you make of them!

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Inside Stateroom
Cabin IA 13625
This room was nice. It was a little closer to the aft elevators than the forward, but it was easy to go either way. We would have liked to be closer to a bar, but when staying on the 13th floor... you're going to have to either go up 2 (when they are open) or down 5 otherwise. Because this is a "family" area, most of the rooms were being used with 3 or 4 beds so lots of little ones waking up much earlier than us in the morning was noisy when we tried to sleep in. 13625 does have 1 pull down bed. There is no small couch area or anything so this room is pretty tiny compared to some other insides we have stayed in (to compare to RCCL - much smaller than freedom class insides). The room did look really nice, and we thought the bathroom was bigger than every ship we've ever been on. Water pressure is no good, but the bathroom had tons of storage. Caroline was our room attendant, but we never really met her. Our friends who had an aft balcony never met their attendant either.
