Allure of the Seas Review

Great cruise, even better ship; some minor areas need improvement.

Some of you may not. It is long and detailed. I am a discerning, but forgiving and understanding reviewer.

About my wife and I. She’s 29. I’m 34. Both gainfully employed Canadians who hadn’t had a chance to cruise since Alaska on the Radiance in 2013- These little things called newborns realign your priorities ( I’m not complaining, honest). My wife and I were celebrating our upcoming 10th anniversary ( 5 years for her, 5 years for me.. 5+5=10). We decided to splurge and make our maiden voyage into the Royal Suite Class ( Grand Suite 7254, Sky Class- more on this later). I feel I may have created a monster. She says she’s addicted to Suites ( as demonstrated by our SKY LOFT next year on the Harmony) but I could swear in a inside studio cabin…honestly. This was also our first time away from our Toddler for more than a few nights together.

Cabin Review

Grand Loft Suite with Balcony

Cabin GL

Our first time in a grand suite. Tons of storage space. Nicely appointed room. Huge bathroom with dual sinks. The bathtub is a bit high which could cause a problem for some getting in and out.

Bed was very comfortable. TV offered us enough choice. Balcony was huge- 114 square feet complete with 2 chairs, table and 2 loungers.

Cabin service was great. Always very clean. Fast, friendly service.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

Stayed at the Renaissance Cruise port. Great location. Good service. Horrible breakfast buffet.

Labadee

Cabana not worth the 400 CAD.

Get a beach attendant 10 bucks to get you two chairs and umbrella.
