We cruised a similar itinerary last year and enjoyed it very much. Selected the NCL Pearl this year as we wanted to see Glacier Bay. It was worth it, big time.

Embarkation was smooth with little wait. Effectively walked aboard. Pearl is scheduled for a maintenance period early 2017 and that will clean up some of the wear and tear. Considering the age of the Pearl the ship is in good shape. Limited seating in the buffet made for some waiting for a table. The pool deck would normally handle overflow, but weather did not cooperate (we were late in the Alaska cruise season. The Atrium Bar was always standing room only. Pleasant place as the entertainment was good in the Atrium. Kind of distracting that the bar staff had to walk in front of the entertainment. Spinnaker Bar was great for viewing the sights. We enjoyed Cagney's, Le Bistro, La Cucina and Moderno.

Cabin was a balcony. Clean and functional. Cabin steward was excellent.
