We were very excited about this cruise and looked forward to trying RCI this time..We researched the ship and looked at reviews. Over all the ship layout was good. The food was possibly the worst thing I have ever experience anywhere. The Buffet was bland and redundant. No dessert choices at all...I would have rather went to the worst Golden Corral than eat at the windjammer ...The Jade was a joke..I like the fine dining option and planned on eating in the main dining room...The food there was terrible. it took over two hours to be served food that was very mediocre ..They served me what they said was aged Manhatten sirloin strip..It was not even beef as far as I could tell..seemed more like a tough piece of pork..very dry.I ordered it medium..When I ask the waiter and he looked at me like I was crazy and said it was beef. I'm from Texas..not even close to red meat..There might as well not even been a dress code in the evening...nothing was enforced..shorts allowed in the main dining room every evening. At breakfast we always asked to be seated at a table for two and the staff repeatedly tried to seat us with strangers..when we reminded them we wanted a table for two they acted like they were being put out..the last day of the cruise I told them they could keep their food and walked out..if there was a rating less than 1 I would choose it.. There did not seem to be a designated smoking area..everyone was smoking everywhere and you could not get away from it..Poolside ..deck 4 outside...and smoke would come up from the casino like chimney's into the promenade deck 5 through the stairways..The picture gallery was right next to the casino and was always filled with smoke. There were drunk people everywhere...not hard to believe since they were pushing every kind of drink imaginable..tables at every entrance to every venue..waiters walking around with full bottles of liquor..try to peddle some type of frozen drinks ..not at all family friendly..The shows were just OK..the Big musical on the last night was very adult not kid friendly at all...the main cruise director was very sleazy always talking about booze and drugs..encouraging the guest to smoke up what ever you bought in Jamica before we hit port back in Galveston..I will never cruise on this line again...and hope others will see this review and be spared the ruined vacation we had to endure..
