I chose Uniworld Danube cruise as I heard the Danube would be the best first time river cruise experience. Well I made the right choice! Everything about it was what I hoped for and more. The food, the tours, the nightly entertainment was supurb. I had put down that I had low sodium diet. The head waiter sought me out the first dinner and told me he would take care of me, that the food was low salt anyway but that the soups had more salt than anything. After the first couple of nights he approached me again and asked how the soups were. I told him I was avoiding the soups because of the salt and he say, oh no. Please, going forward from tonight eat the soup as I have been preparing special soup just for you. That made me feel special and I did enjoy the soups every evening from then on. We met two amazing couples on the boat and hung out with them alot. We did some tours together and had lunches and dinners with them and danced the night away in the lounge. They made the cruise even more special and we will be friends forever. My husband and I were celebrating our 40th anniversary and one night our bed was made up special with rose pedals and chocolate hearts and a big bow spread on the bed and a bottle of chilled champagne. Now that is service. Every evening the cruise director would give a talk about the next days events which made it very informative of what to expect. The locals who did the tours were excellent and gave many tidbits of information that you wouldn't find out on your own. I would do this cruise again in a heart beat. Even though its a bit more expensive, everything is included, including tips and drinks, and it well worth it. I would do it again in a heart beat.

Cabin Review

Stateroom with French Balcony

Cabin 2

The room was very small, only one of us could fit in front of the bed at a time and the bathroom door swung out and took up more room. But honestly, you are not in your room that much so it really didn't matter but that would be my only complaint that the rooms are small.
