We chose this cruise because we felt it was the best way for us to see the islands. At first after reading reviews for 6 months prior to actually sailing we were not sure of what our accommodations were going to be like. As it turned out it was by far better than expected. It really made us wonder of some of the prior reviews were real or not. About 2 weeks prior to the cruise our travel agent called and said NCL was offering an upgrade, which we declined since they didn't offer a discount with it. Then 2 days before we left we got another call and this time they offered the upgrade with a 50% discount which we took. One of the best decisions we made. The room came with a butler and concierge. We found that to be an excellent move on our part. We also found every aspect of our cruise to exceed our expectations. We found the crew to be friendly and helpful at all times. The dining rooms, we ate in both, as well as the buffet and Cagney's and found the waiters to be prompt and helpful. The food that was supposed to be hot was, and the food that was supposed to be cold also was. The buffet was excellent with staff at every station waiting to help explain what some things were or help with getting your food. They have free soft ice cream, chocolate and vanilla or you can swirl it in a cone or bowl. They also have premium ice cream for a fee.

Our room was kept freshly supplied with fresh fruit, coffee and was always made up when we returned. The bathroom was adequate but could use a bit more shelf space. The tub / shower was great, lots of water pressure and options.

We took a couple of tours through NCL and a couple through Roberts. If we were going to go again we would use Roberts for all of the tours. They are exactly the same as NCL only Roberts is approx. 1/3 cheaper. Read more
