My husband and I had a wonderful time on the Escape. I am not sure why people have such negative reviews about it. If you do your research ahead of time, you know what to expect and can plan appropriately.

For the first time, we booked an inside cabin (usually do balconies). Though the room was small, it was efficient (plenty of storage). Our steward Floyd was great, we only saw him a few times, but the room was always cleaned twice a day, and always had a towel animal. Our only complaint about the room was the ac. There was a button to make it extra cold, but this shut off after a while. We prefer to sleep in very cold temperatures, and both of us woke up hot when it shut off.

We had a $125 onboard credit, and when we left our bill was $17. We pre-paid gratuities. We spent our credit at Margaritaville (not really worth it in our opinion, but not bad) and Food Republic (which was wonderful- went twice!). We highly recommend Food Republic. The rest of our meals were in the main dining rooms, and O'Sheehan's. We ate at the buffet for one breakfast. We really liked O'Sheehan's for breakfast and lunch, and the Manhattan room for dinner. All of our meals were excellent.
