I cruise solo so I often have a different outlook to how a cruise works. This was my 3rd cruise out of Sydney in the past 5 years. I have never had any issue with embarkation, no matter the cruise line. This time I arrived at checkin at noon and i was onboard with a drink in hand by 12:18. My luggage was in my cabin as I had dropped it off at 9am. I did a quick reconnoiter of the ship. I was very similar to the pacific Dawn which I have sailed on twice.

The biggest difference was the Pantry. I found the pantry quite a good way to replace the buffet. portion control is much better and you can always go back for more if you wish. The first night I dined at the salt grill. Never disappointing. Although I was the only person there that night. I also dined at Luna twice and did the Chefs table. All was awesome.

As usual the staff make the ship.I heard a few folk complain about service but I always found the service to be fantastic. The trivia and and entertainment was as good as any other ship. Although I think that I could do a better job than some of the comedians. There were many quiet corners to catch up on reading and the like. the Oasis is always my favorite spot.
